About the Artist
Mikaela Renae Stadler is an art educator and artist located in Denver, Colorado. As an art educator, her goal is to use the language of visual art and design to experience, discuss, & practice artistic skills as well as social emotional skills. She is passionate about helping students become life long learners by facilitating a love for learning in the art studio. Integration and design thinking are crucial elements of Mrs. Stadler’s education philosophy and teaching goals. Making frequent connections between the art world and everyday life, learning in other subjects, and creating solutions to real world problems are a fundamental part of every lesson. She strives to help students of all ages to think critically about the world around them by asking essential questions, develop healthy life skills by expressing ideas and emotions through the creative process, and empowering individuals to create solution to real world problems that serve and better their communities through the design thinking cycle.
Mikaela and her husband, Alex Stadler, were both born and raised in Colorado. Together they have become avid mountaineers, learning how to safely scale couloirs, rock climb, and ski in the backcountry of their native state. These expeditions not only serve to challenge, but to refresh and inspire.
